Want to know what Joaquin Phoenix has been doing for the past year or so? And just how serious he is about growing beards, launching a hip-hop career and appearing a little bit bonkers? Well, the much-talked-about documentary following his last year or so is nearly upon us, and it incidentally marks the directorial debut of Ben Affleck’s brother, Casey.
A one-minute trailer for I’m Still Here has now been released, and any thoughts that you’ll be getting a reasoned-looking Joaquin explaining what’s what are out of the window within 20 seconds. Instead, whether the movie proves to be a big practical joke played on the cinema-going public, or proof that Joaquin is looking for a few sandwiches to complete his picnic, I’m Still Here looks like it might just be a must-see.
It’s out in America next month, with a UK release to be confirmed. But here’s the trailer nonetheless.
