In some ways, it’s a movie that’s got no right to be in a cinema. There’s nothing particularly filmic about Jackass, there’s no concession ever made to it being on the big screen, and the format of the television show remains steadfastly in place.

That’s pretty much the case too for this Autumn’s third feature outing, Jackass 3D, which for the most part is sticking to the same template. Once again, it’s an opportunity for the team to tackle pranks that they wouldn’t be able to show on the telly, and you’ll be getting another hour and a half or so of such material.

What’s slightly different this time is that they’ve gone and filmed the whole thing in 3D. This could, unlike most of the shambolic 3D efforts that have been crawling onto cinema screens, actually work. And while this first trailer for Jackass 3D gives no clues as to whether the 3D effect will work (although it certainly has a lot of fun with it), it’s nonetheless still a promo with its fair share of giggles.
