Another touching-on-three-hours dose of stylised violence and hard-talking humour from Quen-chin Tarantino. Brad Pitt heads up the 'Inglourious Basterds' - a troupe of Jewish-American soldiers, who embark on a Nazi-scalping mission in WW2 France. Doubtlessly as comical as it is grim (Simon Pegg was originally cast as one of the soldiers, which gives some indication of the direction it was trundling) this looks like a deep, unsettling Kelly's Heroes, mixed with cool-as-f** drama.
