| Leanne Wilson 'Nurses are the ultimate fantasy aren't they?' purrs new Casualty recruit, Leanne Wilson. She's just slithered out of Maxim's rubber nurse outfit, noting it was 'a bit sweaty', with the result that we find ourselves in dire need of medical attention. 'It's definitely the uniform that does it,' she says, 'but I think men also like that element of control.' Yes, and indeed yes. Anything you say, in fact, miss.
Leanne's character, Claire Gifford, is part of the hot-blooded transfusion that has brought a naughty new lease of life to everyone's favourite doctors-and-nurses show. Of course, Nurse Gifford could shave your privates with one flick of her wrist, but is she properly naughty? 'Well, I play her, so she has to be really, doesn't she?'
Does that mean she wears a practical, splatterproof outfit like this? 'I'm afraid not, although when I first started they didn't have time to make me a proper costume, so I had to borrow one. The wardrobe people kept staring at me, trying to figure out why I didn't look like the other nurses. Then they realised my dress was way too short, and made me wear a longer one.'
Casualty should be applauded for its realism, we suppose. But just imagine if NHS nurses really did dress in rubber...' 'They'd get a lot more patients,' admits Leanne, 'but I also think there'd be far more heart attacks on the ward.' Well, yeah, but who'd care? There are worse ways to make your exit.
But enough of this make-believe. Leanne isn't really a nurse. She doesn't take urine samples or freeze verrucas - she merely puts on clothes which aren't hers, and pretends to be other people.
'It's true.' she confesses, 'I love to dress up, especially in this sort of sexy outfit. How can you not get turned on? I feel very sexy.'
Sadly, the rubber uniform needs to go back in the Maxim Fun Box with the guns, masks and poppers. So what does Leanne grab out of her own dressing-up box, when a night of jiggery-pokery's on the cards?
'Well, knee-high boots seem to work,' says Leanne, with a sex-crazed glint in her eye. 'And look at my red nails. They'd be great for scratching down your back...'
