It’s a classic image of 1940s film noir: a sexy femme fatale seductively dragging on a cigarette in a dark wooden bar. OK, Katherine Hepburn was never in just her pants and almost certainly didn’t flick her ash into a tacky Las Vegas ashtray, but the basic iconic elements are there. Sadly, what with the smoking laws and all that, you can no longer stumble upon this alluring sight on a Friday evening. Instead, these days you’re more likely to see a freezing-cold female in a duffel coat hastily puffing outside a pub door. ’Tis an almighty shame.

The enticing female in this photo is 22-year-old Ukrainian model Larysa Poznyak – one of the sexy hosts on Fashion TV. Since moving to Hollywood she has been catching the eye of many a high-profile celebrity, most notably craggy-faced actor Dustin Hoffman, who was so smitten upon spotting her backstage at an LA fashion show that he swiftly took her aside and gave her an impromptu interview. As well as looking lovely and having celebrity-ensnaring skills, Larysa also speaks five languages and has a degree in business management. Sexy, smart and smoking – a perfect combination.
