Did you have an affinity for street crime that helped you nail your role in Gangs Of New York?

Yeah! Pickpocketing is, like, common sense, basically. It's about having good hand-eye co-ordination. People make it so easy. Women leave their bags open in a crowd in places like New York... I'm telling you, it's easy.

So you go one-on-one with Demi Moore in this one, don't you?

You motherfuckers! I swear to God. Evil media! But, yeah, Demi's a cool woman. And tough.

Would your character, Natalie, go bad?

Well, Demi is my nemesis in the movie... Wait! Talk about ruining the story. God! Lucy, Drew, and I each pair off with one of the bad guys and then at the end... You know, of all the girls, Natalie's probably the most likely to go twisted, she might totally just lose it one day. She'd be like, 'I can't take you bitches anymore!' Then she'd shave her head.

You spent a lot of your youth in different places. Is it true your parents let you trot the globe at the age of 16?

Yeah, I went to Japan, Australia, Paris, Morocco, New York. I went with a girlfriend for three months. I had a great time. I mean, I was 16 and on my own, you know?

Which one of your roles do people bring up?

There's Something About Mary. Because everyone and their brother has seen it. It's become, like, this classic. It's like being a part of Animal House or Caddyshack. I'm very proud to be a part of that.

So, finally, when you're not kicking arse or putting questionable substances in your hair, how do you unwind?
