Who they? Mid-'90s urban-y quartet famous for baggy pants, the Appleton sisters and giving RHCP's classic 'Under The Bridge' a slightly iffy makeover.
BANANARAMA
Who they? Hairsprayed-up '80s bubblegumsters and trouser-ruining 'first crush' contenders for anyone around the age of 35. Have scored more chart hits than any all-female group in history.
THE BANGLES
Who they? '80s-made darlings behind 'Eternal Flame' and 'Walk Like An Egyptian'. Recently reformed, and at the age of 50, revealing singer Susanna Hoffs to carry a pair of the greatest, silkiest legs known to womankind. Seriously. We advise you to investigate.
DANITY KANE
Who they? US reality show starlets formed out of the third series of MTV's Making The Band. Now disbanded. One of their ranks rubbed her breasts on a TV presenter's arm to prove they weren't made of man-made fibres. We admire her style.
DESTINY'S CHILD
Who they? Very credible, Grammy-winning soulsters, consisting of world-conquering superstar Beyonce, Kelly Rowland and the other one. Renowned for great booty and singing about it just to ram home that point ('Bootyicious'!).
GIRLS ALOUD
Who they? Brit reality TV's biggest and sexiest ever successes. Cheryl Cole. Sarah Harding. Need we say more? (Well, we could, because the other three are really fit as well).
LIBERTY X
Who they? A five-piece formed out of reality telly flops (from Popstars), who went on to be more succesful - and 1000 times sexier - than the show's victors (Hear'say. 'Arf!). There were two blokes in this band though. Fortunately, we can't remember anything about them.
PUSSYCAT DOLLS
Who they? American purveyors of kinky fetish wear, such as stiletto boots and fishnet tights. Frontwoman Nicole Sherzinger is the belle of Britain-shirking race driver Lewis Hamilton.
THE SATURDAYS
Who they? Natural heirs to The Girls Aloud throne, being ridiculously goodlocking, very girl-next-door-ish and wearing little teeny skirts which flutter gently up in the wind. One of them used to be in S Club Juniors, though. This isn't really a good thing.
THE SPICE GIRLS
Who they? '90s inventors of GIRL POWER. Also renowned for Victoria's pout, Sporty's cartwheels and Ginger strategically popping free at the Brit Awards.
SUGABABES
Who they? All-female pop trio who've had a few line-up changes and rocked out a brilliant 'Freak Like Me' over a Gary Numan track. We weren't even considering them for this poll until we clapped our beedies on the shoot to 'About A Girl'. Leather-clad STREWTHNESS!

Who they? Ukrainian trio of scantily-clad lovelies, discovered - by us - lurking on the cover of one our European sister mags in very little clothes. Then we discovered this video on YouTube. And we love their band name, too. Triple-way winner!
