When she's not dreaming about pinning Communist revolutionaries, Vienna-born Manuela, and South Africa's Anita Olckers, will be bringing men out in a sweat this month as the stars of Lynx's new ad campaign. Confusingly, Manuela 'plays' a Brazilian and Anita an Australian, the selling point being that Lynx's new deodorant lasts for a cool 24 hours - long enough to keep up with this globetrotting pair.
Both women say that while a liberal dousing with Lynx is fine, they still like their men to be men. 'I was once about to have a one-night stand,' remembers Manuela, 'and I went to the man's bathroom and saw a facial mask. I left immediately. I thought, 'Sorry baby, we're done'.'
Toiletries aside, the pair offer a few more tips for a successful match: 'Communication and passion are important in a relationship,' Anita offers, 'but it's not good to be talking seriously all the time.' Manuela agrees, 'It's better to take the time to make love, rather than talk. I have my girlfriends for talking, my boyfriend I have for something else.' Arm wrestling, presumably.
