Onslow-Cole extends Championship lead for VX RACING
Tom Onslow-Cole showed championship winning calibre at Oulton Park, Cheshire last weekend in the 2008 HiQ British Touring Car Championship (BTCC).
Temperatures soared at Oulton Park in a summer heat wave, and Tom's team VX Racing certainly rose to the challenge. Coming away with three podium finishes and a stunning 49 points, Tom drove well to secure a substantial points tally for the team.
For the second race weekend in a row Tom qualified for the first round as the fastest VX Racing driver, and started from fourth on the grid for round 19 of the championship. Tom had a strong start and remained in strong points contention for the entire race, holding onto the front running pack and making good pace in his VX Racing car to finish fifth overall.
Round 20 saw Tom secure a third place finish behind his team-mate Giovanardi, and a well deserved podium.
