Tom was once again the fastest VX Racing driver for Saturday's qualifying and started round 22 in third place. Reigning champion Fabrizio Giovanardi started from sixth, despite carrying the maximum success ballast of 45 kg. The 21-year-old kept his position for the majority of the race, before he was passed by team-mate Giovanardi.
Starting in third place for round 23, Tom defended his place successfully from Matt Jackson's BMW at the start of the race, and maintained his position to score his second podium of the day. The 21-year-old then went on to finish 12th in round 24.
