Medicine balls are famed for giving generations of boxers abs like slabs of granite. But you don’t need to bounce one off your gut to get ripped – just lifting it will build you a stronger midriff. Do this workout two to three times a week after a five-minute cardio warm-up to get guts like a fighter.

Holding the medicine ball at arm’s length increases the leverage of the weight, making the exercise harder.
