Cable

Unlike free weights where resistance is governed by gravity, cables allow resistance to come from a variety of directions. Cables maintain continuous tension on the working muscle, which brings out extra muscular detail and enables you to generate a peak contraction at the top of each rep

EZ-BAR CABLE CURL: SUPINATED GRIP (Biceps brachii, brachialis, brachioradialis) - With the EZ-bar your hands are in a more natural position. Use a shoulder-width grip with palms up, standing a foot in front of the weight stack and keeping your back straight and upper arms at your sides.

Curl the bar up in an arc and squeeze at the top, returning slowly.

HIGH CABLE CURL: SUPINATED GRIP (Biceps brachii, brachialis, brachioradialis) - This is a great finisher for peak contraction of the biceps. 8A Set the pulleys high and hold the D-handles with palms in. Keep your upper arms straight out at your sides in line with your shoulders.

Curl the handles in, keeping your upper arms still, squeeze your biceps at the top, slowly return.

UNILATERAL STANDING CABLE CURL: SUPINATED GRIP (Biceps brachii, brachialis, brachioradialis) - Hold a D-handle attached to a low pulley with palms up.

Brace your upper arm by your side and curl the handle up to your shoulder. Hold for one second and slowly return.
Bonus variation: Hold the snap ring at the end of the cable with a hammer grip to target your brachialis and brachioradialis.

Barbell

Although providing less mobility than dumb-bell moves, barbell exercises put less focus on co-ordination.

Dumb-bells

To fully develop the biceps, it's best to supinate your hands as you do various permutations of dumb-bell curls.

Cable

Unlike free weights where resistance is governed by gravity, cables allow resistance to come from a variety of directions.

Barbell II

While it doesn't allow for a great range of motion, the barbell is a must for moving the greatest amount of weight possible

Cable II

The cable provides constant tension on the muscle while reducing the stress placed on the joints
