How would you describe your music? Does it compare to any other bands?
I don’t think there’s anyone out there at the moment doing what we’re doing. It wasn't intended to be that way, it just happened. It was a very organic thing. So no, we’re not really like anyone.
Which acts would you most like to emulate? Success, skill, shows, longevity, creativity etc
Damon Albarn. Going from major success with Blur to Gorillaz, who are one of our biggest influences, to writing his own opera – he’s a talented guy.
Name the favourite placed you’ve ever played a gig.
Ibiza. We played the Ibiza Rocks stage twice in the summer. The crowd was a bit rowdier in Majorca, but Ibiza was classier. We enjoyed that.
In a fantasy world, who would be your dream support act and why?
Well, we couldn’t have Damon Albarn as he would just steal the show! We couldn’t have a true legend, it just wouldn’t be right. How about Jurassic 5? They’re not necessarily that well known in the UK but they’re definitely one of our big influences.
WWhat are the greatest three albums ever in your opinion?
Up The Bracket by The Libertines (Harley), Ms Dynamite's Little Diva and Macy Gray’s first album. They all rock.
Which musician is your guilty pleasure?
I’m a massive fan of swing music. I don’t think of it as a guilty pleasure but I suppose it’s something which people wouldn’t expect me to like. I love Frank Sinatra and Bobby Darin and stuff.
What is your favourite item in your wardrobe at the moment?
One of mine would be this Tourist jacket that I’m wearing today, which is a colourful tribal jacket.
What are you most looking forward to in 2012?
Festival season! We can’t say which ones yet, but keep your eyes peeled!
