Jude Law, as he undertakes
promotional duties for his new film Repo Men, has been chatting about the
planned sequel to Sherlock Holmes. The original took in over 0m at the US
box office alone, and is set to arrive on DVD and Blu-ray in the UK in May, and
Warner Bros was already working a follow-up even before the original was
released.
Jude Law has now revealed that he’s expecting to shoot Sherlock Holmes 2 at some point this year, which would tie into the theory that Warner Bros wants the film in cinemas for Christmas 2011.
Guy Ritchie is expected to direct again, and Robert Downey Jr
is, of course, back on board too.
The second film is almost
certain to properly introduce Moriarty, too, with Brad Pitt long-linked to the
role. No confirmation, inevitably, has been forthcoming.
