Polo Ralph Lauren goes back to what it does best this summer. with an ultra-fresh, preppy collection straight off the Harvard campus.
The 'Old Greenwich' line features triped polos and gingham and seersucker shirts, as well as summer knits for summer nights.
There's also a distressed mahogany leather bomber jacket, which, when teamed with sandstone chinos, crsip white shirt and silk scarf will make you look like a 50s Hollywood mogul.
Ralph recently became the first designer in Wimbledon's history to kit out all the on-court officials: 'New blazers, please!'
Inspired by that, he's also brought out a seperate colection of sportswear, with cashmere sweaters, wool flannel blazers and 'vintage' linen trews - with the Wimbledon purple and green trim.
Ralph started his Polo business in 1967, selling 'wide-tie' neckwear. He chose the Polo name because he thought the sport epitomised 'a lifestyle of athletic grace and discreet elegance'. Not a bad logo either.
