Spring sees our favourite French house launch the smashing ‘Voyage’ luggage range.

Contemporary product designer Christophe Pillet has conceived the look and feel of the collection, making it graphic and strong enough to function for an international casual traveller, but maintaining a bright softness to reflect Lacoste’s sports heritage.

The 18-piece range includes laptop bags, cabin suit-carriers and even a roomy duffle on wheels. Holdalls are the bag of the season for us, as they typify a freedom of spirit that’s very French.

The range comes in either black with khaki trim or a vivid coccinelle (that’s red) with beige trim. Detail demons will love the way the zippers reflect the look and feel of the fastenings in the clothes collection. ‘Preppy Pop’ is what they’re calling this retro, late-70s look, with bright greens, reds and white as the mainstay palette.

Lacoste’s attempt to make sportswear smart is functioning beautifully for us.
