Clarks Originals

The Clarks desert boot was created by Nathan Clark, the great grandson of one of the founding Clarks brothers.

He got the idea from the rough suede boots that officers in the 8th Army had made in the Bazaar at Cairo.

In 60s Britain, the desert boot became a mod favourite, later adopted by football casuals in the 80s.

Famous Savile Row tailor Hardy Amies collaborated with Clarks in the 60s and used the desert boot as the finishing touch to his sharp tailoring.

This classic style was recently updated in a snakeskin, but a true connoisseur would always opt for the original sand-coloured suede.

Wear with or without socks!
