This autumn Oliver Spencer has gone back to the days of real working men in waistcoats, granddad shirts and scarves. Pint of Courage Best, please barman!
Tradition has been ‘remixed and re-mastered’, and influences include 20s sportswear, ‘grandmother’ knits and Victoriana. Spencer has re-worked an old-school decorator’s pant in herringbone and tweed. But it would be a shame to get paint down a pair of sharp slacks like these.
His ‘three-way’ shirt – which comes with two different detachable collars – means you’ll never get out of the house in the morning.
Three-piece wool suits are back with a vengeance, but Spencer’s are meant to be worn rough ’n’ ready, and there’s enough room in Spencer’s wide-leg trousers to comfortably house a family of ferrets.
A self-taught tailor with a flair for giving old-school rules a kick in the cobblers, Spencer’s clobber can be obtained from Liberty and Harrods.
