Diesel is stepping up to the runway this season, having launched its first catwalk affair earlier this year in NYC. There’s a more prêt-à-porter approach to Diesel’s ‘Made In Italy’ key pieces, using historic Russian influences blended with wild-western casino verve.

The collection includes fitted waist-coats, shirting and excellent modern trench-coats in muted greys and warm browns. Leathers and sheepskins are cut into great silhouettes and retain exciting retro finishes. The denim blazer is tackled masterfully, and functions well with the waxed lack-shine jean.

Also new is a six-piece collection to be sold through Oki-Ni (see ‘Mirow’ shirt pictured), along with slimline western jeans and denim jackets with embroidered details. Diesel’s position in fashion superstore Selfridges has been moved to reflect its new status. Now it sits with top-notch stylers such as Miu Miu and Evisu.
