G-Star

The G-star jean squad has enlisted the brain of product creative Marc Newson to produce a line of sport and street wear. The collaboration is more about product not fashion, both parties claim. Newson’s second collection rolls out this winter. It has bold block colour, repeated patterns taken from G-star’s oversized-button logo and heavily reinforced knee and elbow patches on its denim pieces. Pocket seams have coloured rubber tape to strengthen them, and to provide smart detailing. We keep fly larvae in our pockets, and other healthy snacks!
