When Reebok first launched the ‘Pump’ trainer back in 1989, MC Hammer baggy pants were still classified as cool (although only by
MC Hammer fans).
Now, 15 years later, having been locked in a secret lab with Nasa and MIT engineers, Reebok is ready to unveil the ‘Pump 2.0’ – just as well you weren’t holding your breath.
The result is a shoe that automatically inflates to fit the shape of your foot after just five steps. Then it constantly adjusts the fit – even if your feet balloon to the size of melons, or shrink to the size of radishes. Or change only slightly, to the size of feet.
