Tag Heuer
Monaco Watch

The Monaco chronograph is about as iconic as a watch gets on a historic style level

It was propelled to horologic stardom by Steve McQueen in the 1971 film Le Mans. It’s seen a number of evolutions since its launch in 1969, and the new manifestation is a simplified pure ‘watch’ version as opposed to the classic ‘chrono’: we see a more minimal face layout, and a more modest curved 37mm steel case with sapphire glass face. The perfect antidote to the possible overkill of its predecessor, it maintains a menacing and sporty air with a large buckle and rubber strap on.
