This is a new version of the shoe made for the 1972 Sapporo Winter Olympics. Its grip sole at the front replaces the spikes on the original, while the Velcro strap is a nod to its precursor’s off-piste spike cover.
'Cesario Hi' (Creative Reaction) - £89.99
The young Californian brand has created the ultimate in formal/
sports footwear. The Cesario is a punched-leather sneaker with Velcro and lace-up fastening, available as a low or high top.
'Octopi' (Lacoste) - £80
Something of a departure for Lacoste: a retro shoe with a futuristic slant. It has a soft nappa upper and a three-part rubber-mould sole, for enhanced flexibility. It’s exclusive to Sole stores nationwide.
'Hillside Avenue' (DKNY Active) - £65
Microzine’s Chris Lee and DKNY have joined forces to produce a pure 80s old-school trainer with a green sole, the NYC skyline emblazoned on the side and this season’s signature print (‘Post No Bills’) at the back.
'Suede LS' (Puma) - £65
One of Puma’s classic shoes enjoys a subtle update. It’s a new version of the popular ‘Suede’, with the key difference of a coloured rubber heel. It’s a collectable style that will appeal to a new generation of trainer enthusiasts.
