The limited edition collection will showcase Barbour's interpretations of their latest collection onto Grenson’s footwear.

For the uninitiated, Barbour and Grenson are British labels steeped in a rich heritage of traditional design, all of which is evident in the new collaboration featuring four exclusive styles of country boots and brogues all handcrafted in the Grenson factory.

The limited edition A/W11 collection enables Barbour to translate its farmboy/workwear look onto the qualitative Grenson boots, giving them both durability and character. Both manufacturers have been creating and shipping products around the globe since the 1800s.

Their innovative ideas have assisted their longevity in the clothing market: burnished calf skin leather and heavyweight Sylkoil waxed cotton  provide unparalleled protection from the British weather based on generations of manufacturing experience. (Easterners will recognise these as the names of nearby villages.) Designed with extreme bouts of North-East weather in mind, each shoe sits atop either Dainite or Goodyear welted Commando soles, ruggedly constructed for maximum traction and durability.

Barbour and Grenson aren’t producing this collection to make money. They are more expensive than a normal pair of Grensons but the manufacturing time and materials used are just covered by the cost. They are doing it simply to generate a bit of coverage around the globe for the two brands.
