Ever since Funky Bunch frontrunner Marky Mark plastered his intimidating six-pack across their ad campaign, Calvin Klein has enjoyed something of a dominance in the men’s designer underwear market. Now while only a meagre percentile of us can boast the shredded torsos of CK’s preening poster boys – at one time or another we’ve all treasured a pair of ‘Calvins’ pathetically saving them for those ‘special occasions’ where there was a slim chance our undergarms would be seen by a willing female.
Unfortunately we’re about as tired of our greying CKs as the elastic that once held them up, so our recent introduction to Pull–in’s latest collection has been most refreshing.
Born in 2000 out of Europe’s surfing capital Hossegor, the lively French brand justifiably pride themselves on two things: the supreme comfort of their briefs and their eclectic range of designs.
Originally the underwear of choice amongst streetwear aficionados, the last few years has seen Pull-in join forces with the likes of DC Comics, the NBA and the MLB, spawning some class, truly unique collaborations - all as uniformly comfortable as they are loud.
Wondering if you’ve got the minerals to pull off such brash boxers? Fear not…in amongst the trendy numbers you’ll find many a nice understated pair, perfect for those whose preference lies with plainer pants.
Sitting here in our snug lycra based numbers, we consider ourselves converts.
