Heavily influenced by the underground music scene of New York, Berlin and London, designers Per Johansen and Jan Chul describe the brand as “fashion Lego’, not because it appeals to 8-year-olds or civil engineers who still live with their mums, but because of the distinctive combinations of colours used in their designs, symptomatic of that bold ‘mix 'n' match’ look.
Innovative design is definitely Humor’s bag, modifying polos or shirts with a roll neck or drawstring collar to provide a unique sartorial twist and mark them out from more conventional foes.
Their inspired ‘drop crotch’ jean definitely falls into this bracket. Admittedly, when we first laid eyes on them we weren’t convinced, but trust us when we say they look as good on as they do strange off. Though better suited to the skinnier-thighed, the fit looks sharp and shipshape as opposed to loose and flarey.
You should give them a try.
It would appear they’re onto something as more and more high street outlets are adapting their lesser version of the curve/drop/banana-cut. We recommend going straight to the source though – humorjeans.com
