Country style urbanites rejoice! Lavenham, now in its 40th anniversary year, is producing limited and special editions with twists and turns to spice up the aesthetics of wardrobes and outfits. It has arrived in the North West and is occupying the Gentleman's Quarters of the oipolloi store right now. So toot on your bugles and send the hunt to Manchester's finest before you decide to hit the hills and dales in pursuit of a cunning fox not looking your best.
The Lavenham brand started in 1969 and made the first nylon quilted horse rug, which was revolutionary in its time. Now, 40 years later, they are still making nylon quilted horse rugs but the Lavenham brand is now better known for its Diamond Quilted jackets. The production is still carried out at their factory in Suffolk. The fabrics chosen for the garments blow include a soft feel polyester, and 100% British wool, woven on Victorian looms in Scotland.
Buy it from the ever-discerning mob at Oi Polloi. it comes in three couloyways, all of which have their own merits.
