When you mention coats you'd think you couldn't get further apart than the names Gloverall and Massimo Osti. The first was the legendary innovator behind CP and Stone Island when they were the cutting-edge stylists for any self-respecting discerning terrace face, the second the company who quite simply invented the classic duffle coat. But think on, dear reader. Both had an obsession with detail. Both were serious about quality and materials. And both made coats which looked bloody good come the shortening of the days.

Well, both have great new coats out this season. Sadly, Massimo himself is now dead. His son, however, ensures the brand has a new lease of life. With the wonderful Ma Strum Frigate coats, he has created, we think, a coat which will look the business for years to come. Similarly, the Reef Jacket takes the classic reef and gives it a material make-over. The fur collar and red top buttons just two details guaranteed to please.
