WHAT'S THE STORY? Bond is back, with Pierce Brosnan reprising the role in particularly stylish fashion. A classic Bond plot involves the usual mix of maniacal despots, mad scientists and willing sexual partners, all held together by one-liners, raised eyebrows and extreme violence. And with Electronic Arts having licensed the entire film series, there's a welcome return for such classic villains as Jaws (Richard Kiel's metal-toothed behemoth, not the rubber shark). Primarily it's all about the action as Bond battles the forces of evil on foot and in a variety of vehicles, with an early introduction for the blockbuster perennial of exploding helicopters. Gadgets naturally play a big part, and once kitted out by Q (voiced by John Cleese) and briefed by M (Dench), Bond is able to tackle problems with a modicum of lateral thinking. With professional acting and its own theme tune, this is as close as you'll get to being in a Bond film.
TECHNICALLY SPEAKING? Third person guns'n'gadgets actioner with added vehicles.
PLAYS LIKE? An interactive Bond film.
WORTH STAYING IN FOR? You're James Bond. What's not to like.
