Across the Atlantic, a quintessentially British event took place in Kingston, Jamaica complete with the latest rock, indie and dance music tunes, black taxis and red telephone boxes whilst we lucky Brits were entertained with a range of exclusive Jamaican inspired sets provided by multi-award winning dance super group Basement Jaxx, Radio 1's Rob da Bank with DJ Shepdog and MC Chunky and one of British dance music's brightest new talents Toddla T.
Legendary septuagenarian Jamaican mento maestros, The Jolly Boys also collaborated with Ms Dynamite who has Jamaican roots and dancehall favourite Assassin, for a unique performance of Bob Marley's classic 'One Love' which had the whole room singing as one which was truly a ‘be there’ moment.
Including traditional authentic Jamaican street food, enormous real palm trees, carnival dancers and the sounds of a steel drum band, the one-of-a-kind global event also had celebrity guests including Professor Green, Audley Harrison, TOWIE’s Chloe Simms, the Faiers sisters, Sam & Billie and Peri Sinclair as well as Sway , Labrinth, Kaya Scodelario (Skins), Francis Boulle (Made in Chelsea), and McLean.
