WHAT'S THE DEAL? Vaguely eclectic 2-disc soundtrack to trendy German film. Starring Franz Ferdinand and Phoenix.

TO BE HONEST: An intoxicating gathering of moody electronic dabblings, high-brow indie and singer songwriter croonings. Some decent foreign language stuff too. This is sharper than its movie protagonists' jawlines.

THE GOOD: Leonard Cohen's folk ditty 'Sisters of Mercy'.

THE BAD: Sid LeRock's demonically discordant 'Close Again'.

THE UGLY: Trashmonkeys' 'Song No 1'. This generic punk thrash has been written 1,038 times before. Probably.
