In the mid '70s, during a intense period of drink and drug-fuelled angst, Bob Dylan hit the road with his band The Rolling Thunder Review. This album features the curly haired messiah at his incendiary best, mixing blitzkreig live versions of new songs with frankly perverse takes of old hits ('It Ain't Me Babe'). Oddly, it all works rather well.
