Open your mind to The Open - ghostly, romantic indie music that'll make you wobble at the knees

WHAT'S THE STORY? A dark, spacey one, full of tinkling keys and waily vocals. (Okay, acclaimed Brit indie-ists make new album).

TO BE HONEST: Sounds like The Mars Volta after someone's flogged their distortion pedals to Cash Converters, with Miles Davis' zombified corpse stumbling in for jams. Crumbling, flakey jazz flesh everywhere!

LISTEN OUT FOR: 'Moment In Time'. It's got a synthy ghost orchestra in it and ghost orchestras rock. (But not as much as undead Motorhead cover bands).
