Grime Daily is an internet channel created to offer a platform for artists and video producers to showcase their content. The site has rapidly become, as their slogan does state “The Epicenter Of UK Urban Entertainment” giving fans an insight to the lives and a heads up on forthcoming releases from their favourite artists.
Grime Daily has a fresh approach to all the content they produce, delivering reality shows such as “Dine Daily”, “Crep Check”, UNCUT and of course birthing the number one urban comedy show “Dats A Wrap” to their loyal following. Grime Daily film exclusive music videos, freestyles and have covered some of the hottest music events out there including the Mobo awards and the Lord Of The Mics launch party providing loads of uncut backstage banter.
We caught up with the lady in front of the camera, Grime Daily’s in-house presenter, Ms Claira Heremet!
MAXIM: Hey Claira, how’s it going?
CLAIRA: It's going good, good, good, wonderfully good!
MAXIM: That's good then. Tell us what made you get in to presenting?
CLAIRA: Right place, right time and luckily a glass of wine!!! Does that rhyme? I knew I was good for this presenting lark, give me a mic and I’m going to rock it.
MAXIM: What is it about Grime that you love the most?
CLAIRA: The people! The music is amazing, especially when I just want to spaz out; good Grime consumes you but the people behind the music are even more amazing and inspiring.
MAXIM: Grime Daily has played a huge part in birthing many new artists, who’s tipped to be the next big thing in your eyes?
CLAIRA: That’s tough guys, are you trying to get me in trouble?! Haha! There are so many, I guess it depends if you mean commercially big or new to the Grime scene and big? IF YOU KNEW THE LEVELS OF TALENT! The only person I’m going to mention is a personal favorite; a guy who goes by the name of KAZ his 14 years old and he’s SICK.
MAXIM: The Grime Daily top 10 sexiest males caused a stir. Who are your personal top 3?
CLAIRA: Giggs, Devlin and T BOY.
MAXIM: As one of the top girls in the scene, name some other top girls that come to your mind straight away...
CLAIRA: Little Donatella – Flava TV presenter, Georgia LA – SBTV presenter, Max – Choice FM Radio Personality.
MAXIM: You’re the gossip girl for BBC 1xtra, tell us the juiciest gossip you’ve heard this year?
CLAIRA: Charlie Sloth is exercising as part of a challenge for sports relief! I kid you not! The big man is putting down his kebab and picking up some weights, haha! Oh and I heard that K Koke may have a track featuring Frank Ocean, not sure it's true but if it was… wow, enough to make me wet myself! ...in excitement of course.
MAXIM: Being the lady in front of the camera, you must go to all the launch parties/events/any reason to get pissed, tell us about the wildest industry party you’ve ever been to?
CLAIRA: The MOBO's after party 2011 ……….. Lots of alcohol, dodgy dance moves plus plenty of attractive males and females in one venue together, sexy music, it's a combination that’s only going to lead to trouble!!! You want specifics?? Sorry what happens at the MOBOs stays at the MOBOs.
MAXIM: What can we expect from the Grime Daily team in 2012?
CLAIRA: BIG, MASSIVE, HUGE things. We never fail to surprise, shock and amaze people. It's something we plan to keep doing. The ideas we have as a team are crazy so watch this space. To be honest I think no one's expecting what we're going to bring in 2012.
