Of the many things written about NYC's coolest rock-clothed proponents, no-one's yet noted the resemblance between bass-player Nikolai Fraiture and the child molester from Straw Dogs. Until now! You either dig The Strokes' sparkly garage sounds or you don't, but if you do, these (mostly) fine tunes will stick to your brain like industrial putty. 'Life Is Simple In The Moonlight' and the scratchy Is This It-era-ness of 'Taken For A Fool' are standouts, while effective hints of Radiohead can even be heard on 'You're So Right'.
