Cor blimey, guv! Foppish Libertine bard Carl Barat is ‘aving a right ol’ knees up with this vaudevillian solo jaunt.
This is more Lanhdahn Tahn than a stroll down Billingsgate Market, while one of Fagan’s fledglings fingers yer kecks for a bit o’ the ol’ queen's head.
Shorn of the blubbery, Steptoe-esque Libertine (e.g. Pasty Doherty), Barat has delivered a pie ‘n mash delight of introspective, lovelorn cockney indie. ‘She’s Something’ and ‘What Have I Done’, in particular, are right swoonsome belters. Pucker!
