WHAT'S IT ABOUT? Lengthy, overblown WW2 thriller from Robocop/Basic Instinct director Paul Verhoeven. This follows a Jewish singer who hooks up with the undercover Dutch resistance, while leaping into the pants of a senior SS officer.

ANY GOOD? Extremely entertaining bevy of violence, sex, comedy, suspense and silliness. It apparently took 20 years to make too. The slack buggers!

REASON TO WATCH: In vague hope there may be some Basic Instinct-style leg crossing scenes. (They're isn't).
