Will Ferrell - Is he the new Chevy Chase? The new Steve Martin? The new Leslie Nielsen? No, he's better than all of them (OK, maybe not). Ron Burgandy is a brilliant creation: vain ('My suits are so fine they make Sinatra look like a homeless person'), mustachioed and stupid ('San Diego is German for a whale's vagina'). You'll be snorting popcorn out of your nose right from the opening credits as Burgandy does his vocal exercises, 'Scotch, scotch, scotch, for my belly.' Er, it's not so funny in print.
Really dumb characters: Burgandy's weatherman Brick is a comic idiot on a par with Trigger or Baldrick. A self-confessed 'retard', Brick can't tie his own shoelaces, but does manage to kill a rival newscaster with a trident.
Funniest comedy ever? How many other films have you laughing throughout? Spinal Tap? OK, so it's the second funniest comedy ever. Although there is Blazing Saddles... Look, let's just say that it's the best ever 70s spoof to hit the screens since Schindler's List.
