WHAT'S IT ABOUT? Invading Saxons threaten to overrun a Roman colony in England while Rome, having previously backed the local Woads in their continuing struggle with the Barbarians, is in a state of decline and it's territorial ambitions are waning, is retreating from previously conquered lands leaving poor King Arthur risking life and limb to deal with the situation alongside his primitive woodland forces.

BEST SCENE: The one where the Knights take on the Saxons on the frozen lake

TO BE HONEST: Hollywood's twisting of history to suit the masses and the big movie boys is annoying, crass and very, very poor. This fares little better after being give the Jerry Bruckheimer treatment though is probably just worth it to see Owens gritty performance and Keira(thrice)Knightly in a tight, sub-S&M costume that surely would have chafed her privates good style.
