The terrorised-kids-in-a-remote-cabin staple of '70s horror gets a 21st century makeover. This time, the unseen bogeyman isn't a homicidal madman, but a flesh-eating virus so nasty it makes SARS look soft. Director Eli Roth layers on the black-as-coal comedy, creeping paranoia and icky gore, chucking in a spot of nudity for good measure. A modern horror classic in the making.
