New UK poster for Piranha 3D

Never let it be said that a film doesn’t know its target audience. For in the case of the fun-looking Piranha 3D – due in cinemas at the end of the month – the promotional material thus far has been bang on.

The latest example is this new poster for the film, which puts across with some ease that it’s a film where, for starters, clothes look like something of a luxury. Furthermore, if you go into the water, there are fish that simply want to eat you. It’s a simple concept, and one that worked for the original Piranha all those years ago. There’s little sign that it’s not going to work again here.

Quite why she’s dropped her top in this poster isn’t particularly clear, but rest assured, we’re not losing much sleep over it.

Piranha 3D arrives in UK cinemas on 20 August.
