Robert E. Howard only lived to the age of 30, but during those years he created a host of swords 'n' sorcery beefcakes, most famously Conan the Barbarian, and this head-loppy nutjob here, Solomon Kane.
A 16th century mercenary, he finds himself damned to hell, unless he redeems himself by making sushi out of a load of demons, which inevitably makes for a fantastical romp of blood, guts 'n gore. While it won't win any awards, it has a great olde English look, and the action scenes are sharp as f**k. A real blokey one, this.
