The writers of Sexy Beast have a new film out in January. We haven't seen it, but it is firmly on our radar with this little mob behind it. Oh, and their flyer is a work of art.

It's not often movie flyers grab our attention, but the 44 Inch Chest has gone stright into a frame on the editor's wall. Styled to look like an Ikea flatpack instruction sheet, but with suggested rude language, we hope it's a precursor to a great movie.
44 Inch Chest is a darkly comic drama reuniting Ray Winstone with the writers of Sexy Beast (Louis Mellis and David Scinto) to play Colin Diamond, "a man brought to his knees by a woman", as first time director Malcolm Venville defines it. The opening salvo of a sprawled Winstone semi-conscious and listening to Without You on repeat looks promising to say the least. The basic premise is: Winstone has been dumped by his missus, and takes her French waiter 'Loverboy' hostage and locks him in a wardrobe. To exact some sort of revenge. With a superb cast that includes John Hurt (as cantankerous old man Peanut), Tom Wilkinson, Stephen Dillane, the sexy Joanne Whalley and the ace Ian McShane as snippy gay Meredith we're putting the house on this being our pic of the year come 2010. No trailer yet: this is simply a big head's up.
Oh, and here's a bit of Winstone, Hurt and McShane filming in Kensington, London.
