In a town where the only food to eat is sardines, the invention of a weather food machine changes life forever . . .

Originally published as a children's book (by Judi Barrett with illustrations by Ron Barrett) back in 1978, Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs has been made into a truly excellent animated movie.
In the book, two children listen to their grandfather as he tells them about the town of Chewandswallow, where the weather comes three times a day as food and drink. Rain is juice and soup, snow is mashed potatoes and wind brings hamburgers. But when floods and storms of giant food comes, the population is forced to flee on boats made of bread. The movie takes the story as its inspiration, and runs with it. It's brilliant. Go and see it and feel happy to be alive.
