The dazzling Si-Fi epic that set the standard for all the rest, a monolith is found on the moon and is discovered to have come from Jupiter. Astronauts David Bowman and Francis Poole and three scientists are sent on the spaceship Discovery One to find out more. Bowman has to battle the un-hinged on-board computer HAL 9000 to find out the shocking truth.
