Where do you start? 11 Oscars, the biggest actor of his day, cast of thousands (the chariot race alone had 15,000 extras, this is a film of epic proportions. The tale of Judah Ben-Hur whose childhood friend Messala arrives in Jerusalem to become the new Roman Governor, promptly gets Ben-Hur arrested on a trumped up charge and sends his Mum and Sis to prison. He then sends Ben-Hur to the slave galleys expecting never to hear from him again. But as in all great movies Ben-Hur turns up to take his revenge.
