WHAT'S THE STORY? You are Mr Van Helsing, foolishly exploring the eldritch wastes of Transylvania armed with little more than nine deadly weapons. There's plenty of chance to use them due to a 400-year-old curse that sees you pitted against a baddies' dream team made up of Dracula, Frankenstein, Mr Hyde, The Wolf Man and Honey Monster.

TECHNICALLY SPEAKING? Fast-paced third-person spin-off.

PLAYS LIKE? Devil May Cry, Legacy Of Kain: Defiance, a longer version of Van Helsing the movie.

WORTH STAYING IN FOR? It's either this or the local multiplex
