If you're of a similar age to us (kind of old unfortunately), Rayman will fill you with glee. Those were the days!

Ok, let's cut to the chase.
Good news: Rayman is shaping up to be just as good as it always was.
Bad news: We had to stop playing it and go home. RUBBISH.
On top of the traditional chaos Rayman always brings, there is now four player co-op to be had, updated graphics, and some child-friendly insanity not seen since Ren & Stimpy were on Nickelodeon.
The co-op aspect is really what sets Origins off, as there hasn't been anything quite as fun as this in a long, long time. For reasons unknown to us we were collecting coins that could speak, and who would occasionally burst into song, which would trigger a nice little dance from ourselves and our co-op buddies.
It was a thing of beauty.
Levels are solid, quality odes to the platforming genre, with no sign of slowdown regardless of how much madness is happening on screen. You will find yourself chasing fairies across dangerous and varied landscapes, all in a bid to rescue them from whatever killer plant/blob/general git who is trying to eat them. The fairies themselves will reward you with new, permanent abilities, which you can use to access areas you previously couldn't, thanks to the ability to go back and replay levels in order to collect any of the goodies you might have missed.
Even being the grumpy old gits that we are, we can't wait for Rayman Origins. It's seemingly the best of both the old and new worlds of gaming, and it does it perfectly. Don't believe us? Check out the trailer!
