Since the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie the world has gone a bit pirate crazy and the gaming world is no different.
Introducing The Sims Medieval Pirates & Nobles expansion pack because obviously the opposite to a scoundrel and villainous pirate is a rich, poncy noble person.
So how does it play? Well like any other god game point and click, however it is different to The Sims itself despite being a spin off title from the original EA series. It's very similar to its original The Sims Medieval however and the add ons feel slim.
You must fulfil quests to “level up” your sim into a upper class noble person or into a murderous pirate. There are new aspirations to achieve, but essentially the game had a person who was considered a noble anyway; there's just more this time round.
To complete tasks is a little simple and only requires you to click on an icon that appears after you are told the task. You then simply select the desired item (which in the case of travelling is often just “go to location...”).
Unfortunately the game is rather simplistic and repetitive which means it lacks the appeal of the original sims. The beauty of the original Sims meant you could do what you wanted, when you wanted and only dip in and out of tasks. With this though you have to follow and complete each mundane task and whilst the expansion pack adds in the cool idea of pirates, you're still just completing task after task when all you wanna do is pillage and plunder freely. Not really a game for fans of The Sims, but may suit more to people who like tactics and task based games.
