THAT MEANS YOU HAVE A CONSCIENCE, AND YOU SUCK. But it also means that you now have the ability to do just that, in the fourth installment of the Red Faction franchise. You are Darius Mason, the grandson of Alec Mason from Red Faction: Guerilla. How time flies when you're having fun! Humans have been forced underground and the surface of your home planet of Mars is now a no-go area. NICE JOB DARIUS.
Now we're done ripping on the games main man, you can live safe in the knowledge that gameplay is fast and frantic, while the game let's you do more than just blow shit up, by allowing you to use the ACTUAL ENVIRONMENT as a weapon against your enemies. Setting up traps has never been more fun. The other best part of the game? You can put things back together again for more fun and games at your foes expense!
Red Faction: Armageddon has no issues graphically, but it can be hard to appreciate the obvious effort that has gone into making the game as good looking as it is when half the time you're underground in brown-town... and no, that's not a euphemism.
While the single player campaign can drag on in places, it's the multiplayer where the game really flies. Ruin Mode is exactly that; all the enemies are gone from the game and you have to cause as much damage as possible. Sounds easier than it is, trust us! Infestation is RFA's crack at survival, where you're pitted against waves of enemies in a fight to the death. Hopefully, they lose.
Basically, Red Faction: Armageddon is a decent enough game in singleplayer, but really shines through multiplayer. If you aren't into online gaming, then you'll be missing out on the best bits!
